Since we pride ourselves on the quality of our consultants, our primary source of hires is referrals from our consulting staff. Our highly trained recruiters also have an extensive database of candidates and an array of tools and techniques they use to find just the right person for every job.


The first phase in our recruiting process is a face-to-face interview; enabling our recruiters to determine immediately if the consultant has the right attitude to be an ASAP employee. Our recruiters explain the history of the company, the company benefits, and our clients’ projects in detail. This is the first step to ensure that we are meeting the client’s needs.


The second phase involves a technical screening interview. We utilize online testing and in-person screening performed by senior consultants. The candidate’s technical aptitude is determined and the project and the environment at the client site are explained in detail. The test or interview consists of technical questions on consulting competencies, specific platforms, programming languages, and operating environments that are being used at the client site. We establish very high minimum standards for all written tests and interviews. The prospective consultant must meet this standard to move onto the next step.


The third phase involves verifying references. ASAP recruiters check a minimum of two current references. Both references must be from a previous manager of the consultant. Depending on the result of the references, the recruiter and the account manager decide if the individual is a match for the client and ASAP. If there's a match, the candidate signs a Commitment Letter giving ASAP the right to represent the applicant.


The final phase in the recruiting process involves a background investigation check. Clients can require background checks based on criminal and/or credit history. If an individual does not pass the background checks, they are not hired. Drug tests are also administered upon client request.
