Business Challenge
A communications industry client needed to replace a collection of ageing in-store systems with a single, state of the art, point of sale system. The challenge was to architect, design, develop and deploy the new system to 350 locations, across a 9 state region, in an 18 month timeframe and provide a high availability POS system, fully integrated with back office billing, activation and inventory management systems.

Our Solution
ASAP formed a collaborative development partnership with the client and a large systems integrator, and with this combination we were able to provide a high quality team of system architects, system engineers, software developers and system testers. Leading and/or supporting all phases of the development lifecycle from business requirements through development and deployment, this team worked in a seamless fashion with client resources to make the vision a reality.

Results
The new system deployed on time, within budget and with all the required functionality. State of the art interfaces and simplified transaction processes dramatically improved order accuracy and reduced sale to activation timelines. This resulted in a significant increase in overall customer satisfaction levels, which was driven primarily by user-friendly interfaces and simplified transaction processes.

Business Challenge
The client identified a unique opportunity to leverage their knowledge of the property management industry and introduce a unique, ASP-based property management software offering. They needed a technology-neutral partner to analyze a variety of architectural options and develop an end-to-end solution in a single product offering. The challenge was to beat the competitors to market and position our client as the market leader.

Our Solution
Quickly identifying key enterprise architecture resources with specific property management domain expertise, we used our architecture blueprinting process to provide a strong architectural foundation and framework for rapid application development.

Results
Analyzing several different approaches and technologies for functionality and scalability, we developed comprehensive, functional data and application architecture blueprints. And we did it ahead of schedule, allowing downstream design to be accelerated. This positioned our client to start work on the detailed design ahead of schedule and accelerate product time to market.

Business Challenge
Our client merged with another wireless telecommunications carrier resulting in multiple, duplicate infrastructures and business processes. Order processes supporting the large business required significant manual intervention, where existing processes did not propagate appropriate updates to downstream systems. Multiple points of entry existed for ordering and inventory, and ordering processes were not fully integrated.

Our Solution
ASAP facilitated the requirements gathering process with the business. We then developed use cases and scenarios for the proposed solution. The in-house software development then used the detailed requirements to drive the design and development, with ASAP engaged in an integration role through testing and implementation.

Results
Ordering for large business customers was fully automated resulting in improved efficiencies and reduced labor costs. Single sign-on procedures were implemented for all teams servicing customers and order fulfillment was further enhanced with the integration of ordering and inventory systems.
